So this angel cradles and protects a small candle with a tiny flame made of gold leaf. It’s important that the flame is small. Sometimes it’s just a little flicker or a fleeting sign that can give you hope. For me, focusing on seemingly insignificant things—things or events I might normally take for granted—are actually those precious little miracles that can give hope. I wanted this Angel of Hope to be a positive piece, like the little spark that keeps us moving forward."
