For four generations, our partner's workshop has passionately carried on the tradition of sacred wooden sculptures. Located in the mountainous region of Val Gardena, Italy, this workshop is part of a long history dating back to the 17th century, when woodcarving became a real local speciality. The wood used comes from Alpine forests managed in controlled reforestation areas, guaranteeing an environmentally-friendly material. From blocks of wood, a skilled craftsman works with precision on a pantograph to create drafts. These are then meticulously shaped by hand to reveal every detail with care and finesse.
