For four generations, our partner workshop has been passionately crafting sacred wooden sculptures.

Located in Val Gardena, Italy, a mountainous region with a wood carving tradition dating back to the 17th century.

Skilled artists from the art schools of Ortisei and Selva Gardena create the basic models, which are true works of art, always unique and innovative

These models are then cast in bronze to be reproduced using a pantograph. Wood from controlled reforestation areas in the Alpine forests is most suitable for carving.

An expert artisan transforms the wood blocks into rough sculptures on the pantograph. These rough sculptures are then meticulously handcrafted in every detail.

The Virgin and Child present in Notre-Dame dates back to the 14th century. Initially venerated in the former Saint-Aignan chapel on the Île de la Cité, it was integrated into the cathedral's facade to replace the Virgin that was destroyed during the revolution, before being placed by Viollet-le-Duc in the transept of the building, on the right side, where an altar dedicated to Mary had always stood. The statue is then revered under the name "Notre-Dame de Paris."
