This rosary has been carefully made in France by a small family-run business since 1844. Initially specializing in art casting, they produced, among other things, statues of saints for parishes. This artisan notably won a gold medal awarded by the Vatican for creating a bronze statue of Pope Leo XIII in 1888. After the war, they ventured into the production of rosaries (the craft of the paternoster maker). Today, this company is the last one to manufacture rosaries on French soil.

The rosary is a prayer object resembling a bead necklace composed of five sets of ten beads, called decades. Each set is followed by a larger space. A cross and five beads are situated before the centerpiece, which features the image of the Glorious Christ. These beads are used for reciting the "Hail Mary."
