These official Notre-Dame de Paris candles are produced for the 15 million visitors of Notre-Dame de Paris, starting from its reopening on December 8th.

100% compostable and biodegradable, this votive candle, designed by a French company based in Lourdes, is made from soybean oil, with a container made from garrigue grass, produced in Mèze in the Hérault region.

The holder is filled and packaged in Lourdes on the production line already used to make the sanctuary's night lights. These choices ensure a candle that is "100% Occitan." For example, soybean allows the candle to heat less and emit less smoke than paraffin.
