Notre-Dame d'espérance, Monsignor Patrick Chauvet
"May reading this book allow you to enter into the beautiful mystery that is Notre-Dame. What we experienced before the tragedy, I am convinced, we will experience once again, and I will give my all to ensure that the cathedral remains as beautiful and alive as ever." - Monsignor Patrick Chauvet
"We will rebuild the cathedral."
This is the exclamation of Monsignor Patrick Chauvet,
Rector-Archpriest of Notre-Dame de Paris, who on April 15, 2019,
saw this world-renowned cathedral go up in flames.
In this book, he takes us on a journey to discover his role as the pastor of Notre-Dame,
but also as the leader of this small company with 67 employees.
The writing of this book, with a foreword by Mrs. Caroline Pigozzi,
where he also offers us reflections on transmission,
the adaptation of the Gospel message, the link between culture and heritage,
and the relationship between arts and the sacred, was completed the day before the fire.
Later on, Monsignor Chauvet adds a special dimension of Hope.
