This Monastery was founded in 1934 in the Parisian region. Today, the lives of the 25 sisters present in the Monastery revolve around work and prayer. "The sisters must at certain times engage in manual work and at other fixed hours devote themselves to the reading of things of God," including the artisanal crafting of rosaries and chaplets. They live the monastic life according to the Rule of Saint Benedict.

The Benedictines of Sainte Bathilde aim to be open to the world, sensitive to ecumenism, and support the creation of monasteries in mission countries (France, Benin, Vietnam, Madagascar).

The rosary is an object of prayer that resembles a necklace of beads composed of five sets of ten beads, the decades. Each set is followed by a single bead.

A cross and five beads are located before the heart, which features the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a saint, or a Christian symbol.

These beads serve you in the recitation of the "Hail Mary."

The recitation begins with the sign of the cross, a "Creed," a "Our Father," three "Hail Marys," and a "Glory Be."

It then consists of reciting one "Our Father," ten "Hail Marys," and one "Glory Be."

You combine the recitation of the decades with the contemplation of the joyful, sorrowful, glorious and luminous mysteries of the life of Christ.
