The Monastery of Vanves was founded in 1934 in the Paris region. Today, the life of the 25 sisters present in the monastery revolves around work and prayers. "At certain times, the sisters engage in manual labor, and at other fixed hours, they apply themselves to the reading of divine things," including the handmade crafting of rosaries and chaplets. They live the monastic life according to the Rule of Saint Benedict.

The Benedictines of Sainte Bathilde are open to the world, sensitive to ecumenism, and support the creation of monasteries in mission countries (France, Benin, Vietnam, Madagascar).
