About the artist:
After studying graphic arts and interior architecture at the Penningen School, Marie-Noëlle Robert devoted herself to performing arts photography and became the official photographer of the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris from 1987.
She also collaborated with the Maison des Cultures du Monde, where she covered the Festival of the Imaginary for over 10 years, featuring traditional musicians from around the world.
Inspired by her travels to Andalusia, she embarked on a series of photo reports on Islamic architecture and geometry, leading her to Syria and Uzbekistan.
Drawing from these architectural and ornamental treasures, she has developed the technique of cut paper over the past decade.
