Created with ethical values related to fair trade, this decoration is handcrafted using the traditional Indian embroidery technique called 'zardosi.' It was specially designed to celebrate the 850th anniversary of Notre-Dame de Paris.

The workshop that creates these small decorations specializes in creating hanging ornaments. All of these decorations are handmade, and the time required to make each one reflects their unique quality.

For over 30 years, the workshop has been partnering with a small charity organization in Thailand that helps women find profitable employment within their rural community, rather than leaving their families to work in the city.

Today, nearly 200 women work from home to assemble and sew these decorations. The workshop is proud to be a member of the BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Suppliers) and supports the 10 principles of fair trade, as indicated by the World Fair Trade Organization.
